Summary

Collaborate with multiple departments to coordinate and execute validations related to cleaning, thermal processing, critical controls points, and preventive controls. Will perform an analysis on the data collected to determine the efficacy of the procedure, system, or equipment. 

 

Primarily 3rd Shift, with occasional coverage for 1st and 2nd shifts as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.

  • Coordinate various validation events related to cleaning, thermal processing, CCPs and PCs
  • Performs Indicator, Microbiological and Allergen sampling of equipment.
  • Maintenance of documents and records (microbiological results, temperature data, metal detector data).
  • Immediately reports out-of-spec results and operating conditions to the responsible department.
  • Identify deviations from specifications and controls
  • Assist with conducting environmental monitoring swabs
  • May assist with root cause analysis corrective actions
  • Ensure validation reports are completed and have appropriate review, approval, and document control
  • May prepare presentations on validation summaries and present to management
  • May assist with new equipment/area verifications
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Preferred Associates degree in science related field; at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

SKILLS

  • Strong communication skills
  • Must pass a written proficiency test
  • Detail oriented
  • Computer literate (Excel, Word, Data Entry programs, PowerPoint)
  • Reliable/Dependable
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
  • Preferred: Bilingual Spanish/English

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry:
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, rate, ratio by a pre-defined variable.
  • Draw and interpret bar & line graphs and pie charts.

 

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
