Bay area California compensation range: $69,200-96,900

 

Location: Hybrid in Santa Rosa, CA

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Recipe Administrator is responsible for the creation, set-up, and ongoing maintenance of all master recipe data in the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and readiness for use in production facilities. The Recipe Administrator brings strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work with repetitive processes while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. This position collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure recipe changes are implemented seamlessly, supporting efficient manufacturing operations. The Recipe Administrator is both process-oriented and tech-savvy, with strong data entry skills, analytical capability, and the initiative to recommend and implement improvements that enhance recipe management systems and processes.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (Includes, but are not limited to the following):

 

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date master recipe data in the ERP system to support all manufacturing facilities.
  • Prepare and document recipe changes through the Manufacturing Change Request (MCR) process, ensuring appropriate approvals prior to system updates.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Culinary, R&D, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, etc.) to collect, validate, and implement technical recipe-related data.
  • Coordinate timing and communication of recipe changes to ensure smooth adoption on the production floor.
  • Identify and address potential impacts of recipe changes, including raw material, packaging, and resource requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain recipe structures, ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, and sustainability policies.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and usability of recipe data management systems.
  • Provide backup support for other functions within the Recipe team as needed.
  • Assisting the Senior Culinary Business Manager and other Recipe team members as needed with projects, programs, and work.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability.

Qualifications and Skills

EDUCATION: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S. or B.A.); or three to five years of related experience in manufacturing; or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

EXPERIENCE: 

  • Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft programs (especially Excel) and SmartSheets
  • Previous Oracle or similar ERP system experience strongly preferred. Experience in master data control/maintenance strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Math Skills
  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing and production process or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently
  • Team oriented with a collaborative attitude
  • A strong attention to detail with an obsessive drive for perfection in regard to data accuracy and completeness

 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Some Spanish preferred, but not required

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: 

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

REASONING SKILLS: 

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • The ability to think critically, and to switch from one project to another with ease

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the essential functions of the job the employee may be exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level is moderate. (Example: business office with computers and printers, light traffic.)

 

 

TRAVEL: Some travel may be required to visit production facilities – not more than 25% of the time.
