California Bay area Compensation range: $26.00 - $36.40

*Other locations are subject to a lower range. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Revenue and Trade Specialist is a key member of the Revenue and Trade Operations and Customer Strategy and Planning teams focused on the management of over $32M trade spending open balance. This position is responsible for managing the accurate and timely verification, reconciliation, and application of customer deductions to Amy’s systems, particularly those related to sales promotions, merchant charge backs, slotting, demos, trade shows, advertisements, spoils, and other. This position also supports the sales account managers and customer planning team as needed to help provide the customer a best-in-class annual plan and business relationship.

  • Adhere to the Amy’s written deduction process for all deduction types.
  • Learn and utilize various distributor and retailer portals available to research information needed to process deductions for assigned customer base. Support sales account management by working in various retailer and distributor processes and applications to stay in compliance with customer policies and
  • Be the customer expert to manage a specific customer account base for all sales related deductions through proper validation, reconciliation, and processing in the Trade Promotion Management (TPM) system in a timely manner.
  • Maintain an average open deduction aging of 90 days or less.
  • Maintain an annual open deduction balance of 1.25% of gross sales or less for specific customer accounts assigned.
  • Research all deductions using the customer and vendor contract information in addition to customer promotional calendars.
  • Review, validate, and process check requests in the TPM system for timely payment to third party customers.
  • Identify invalid deductions and dispute in the proper channels based on each specific customer requirements for repayment using problem-solving skills to strategically work towards a resolution.
  • Draft, submit, and follow up regularly on all repayment requests to accelerate the collection process.
  • TPM system support team member to properly assist users with questions, system set up, analytical reporting, organizational master data changes, and special system projects becoming a primary point of contact for the TPM system and super-user.
  • Partner with the Revenue and Trade Operations manager and the Sales account managers on key customers during the annual planning process. Collaborate to develop the annual customer plans with these teams to translate the information into an annual plan in the TPM system.
  • Collaborate and communicate with IT, finance, customer service, AR, AP, and demand planning teams regarding deductions, check requests, the TPM system, and other company projects.
  • Member of systems testing teams as it relates to the TPM system for any upgrades or system interfaces with other internal applications.

EDUCATION

Associates degree (A.A.) or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

EXPERIENCE

  • 2-3 years’ experience in sales/marketing, customer service, and/or accounting receivables, preferably in the food or consumer packaged goods
  • TPM – Trade Promotion Management understanding and system application experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word & intermediate Excel
  • Must also have knowledge of automated financial & accounting systems,
  • Close attention to detail, accurate data entry skills; ability to work under pressure and meet
  • Time management and follow up skills needed to support various tasks simultaneously being worked on and executed.
